Worshipping God, Evangelizing the Lost, Maturing Believers

Deacons

These men serve the church and community in a variety of practical ways. We see the role of deacon enacted in Acts 6:1-7 so that the church leaders can stay focused on spiritual needs and shepherding. Deacons help facilitate the church meeting one another's needs, provide ministries of mercy for our surrounding community, and extend God's grace through our benevolence funds. See 1 Timothy 3:8-13 for the biblical qualifications of deacons.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.  (Galatians 6:9-10)
